TABLE TOP SALE THIS WEEKEND. There will be a Table Top Sale after all Masses this weekend. Proceeds will be divided between St. Joseph’s convent Bethlehem and the defibrillator for our church. Do you have new or nearly new items to donate to the Table Top Sale? If you do, please leave items in the Repository. Thank you.


SECOND COLLECTION NEXT WEEKEND AT ALL MASSES FOR HARVEST FAST DAY/CAFOD - 6TH & 7TH OF OCTOBER.  Harvest Fast Day 2019 takes place on Friday 4th October. This Harvest we hear from 14-year-old Fabiano about the danger he faced on the long walk to collect water in the dark. Now that a solar powered pump has been installed in his village, Fabiano can get water safely, easily and have time and energy for school. There are many more children who still need our help and who are risking their safety and missing school to get water. Help us this Harvest to reach more children and communities this Harvest!  Please collect your Fast Day envelope from the church this week and give what you can.


PARISH DEFIBRILATOR FUNDRAISING. To this date, donation amounted to £2,720.09. Thank you all for your generosity. The parish is still accepting donations. If you wish, please collect an envelope in the porch for your donation. 


ENTRY TO CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS.  Fr. Kevin will be offering Certificates of Catholic Practice on Thursday 17th October from 3.30pm-6pm in the Presbytery to parents of children who are presently in Year 6 and want their child in Catholic Secondary school from Sept 2020.  Application forms are available at Saturday evening and Sunday Masses from the Priest and should be returned by Monday 14th October to the Presbytery.When the Priest has evidence that the parent’s statement is true, he will present them with a “Certificate of Catholic Practice”.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SIGNING IS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS ONLY AND APPLICATION FORMS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE PARISH OFFICE.  Application for Reception and Nursery - dates will be announced after.

YEAR OF THE GOD WHO SPEAKS. Bishop Alan Williams will open the ‘Year of the God who Speaks’, which is promoted by the Bishops of England and Wales, at the Catholic Church of Christ the Eternal High Priest, Brentwood Road, Gidea Park (RM2 6DH) at 10.30 on Saturday 12th October. For information about the Year  visit   Fr Adrian Graffy will give two talks entitled ‘Beginning with Genesis’, which will provide a fresh reading of the opening chapters of the Book of Genesis. BCYS YOUTH GATHER, MERSEA ISLAND, 26TH-27TH OCTOBER 2019 (half term weekend). The Youth Gather is for anyone is school year 9-13, and includes a mix of inspiring speakers, reflection and prayer, together with outward bound activities like zip wires, high ropes and climbing walls. FROM SVP SECRETARIAL RETURN. ANNUAL REPORT 2018 -2019  We carried out 339 visits/telephone calls to Families.  Visited Elderly in their home and Residential care, People in hospital, the homeless/refugee/asylum/migrants status.  This included: gifting money, furniture and food parcels.  Attended funerals and pickup unwanted clothes/furniture/bric-a-brac to take to our charity shop, helped with transport and supported the John Bosco Camp and entertained with Tea on the Lawn after Sunday Mass.  We are here in our Parish to help in any way, so if you would like our help or just want a chat - please contact us.



MARRIAGE IN CHURCH.  Couples thinking of getting married are reminded to register in good time (minimum of 6 months’ notice). Contact the parish office to make an appointment to see one of the Priests and he will help you from there.  Couples planning to marry in another parish or even outside the country should realise that the process properly begins here.


PARISH MEMBERSHIP. We are aware that some people have left the parish and while others have joined us.  To those newly arrived we say welcome and wish you a peaceful time here.  We hope and pray that your coming to St. Patricks will satisfy your need to have a meaningful relationship with God and help you to meet new friends. Do introduce yourself to Fr. Kevin and register with the Parish Secretary and make sure you are known in case you plan to have a child receive a sacrament or apply for a place in a Catholic school.

ARE YOU AWARE that the Rosary is said each morning in the church at 9.05 am (just before the morning Mass)? All are welcome to participate.


UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO MASS? The church offers a service called Mass Link.  At 6pm Sunday Mass, via Skype, we call people who want to listen to the Mass and broadcast the Mass to them over their phones. This service is available for anyone who can't make it to Mass if you are ill or housebound.  If you would like this service, please give your number to the Parish Office and we will ring you on Sunday at 6pm to listen in!


LEGION OF MARY meeting is held each Thursday after Mass at 10:15 am.  If anyone is interested in what we do, you are very welcome to attend.




DIVINE MERCY- every Wednesday at 4pm in the Church.


EL SHADDAI (CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC GROUP). Rosary prayer, praise and worship, preaching the gospel of the Lord, every Saturday, from 1pm – 4pm.
