DAY FOR LIFE SECOND COLLECTION LAST WEEKEND amounted to £429.60.  Thank you all for your generosity.

 

THANK YOU! Parish Defibrillator fundraising, to this date amounted to £880.04.  Thank you to all parishioners who have help raised this fund.  The parish is still accepting donation. If you wish to, please collect an envelope in the porch for your donation.

 

PETER’S PENCE SECOND COLLECTION NEXT WEEKEND at all Masses.  Each year, a special charitable collection is solicited from Catholics throughout the Church.  Contributions are intended for use by the Pope in his worldwide humanitarian efforts. Victims from natural disasters, wars, diseases and other catastrophic events receive assistance from Peter’s Pence. Economically strapped dioceses and churches, hospitals and Catholic education programs are also among recipients of these funds. 

 

PARISH WORKSHOP: On Monday 8th July at 7pm the Metropolitan Police Faith Officer will be giving a presentation on Extremism and Terrorism. We are asked to join in this presentation to know what to look out for and to familiarise ourselves with what to do in such cases. Everyone is invited to come along.

Divine Renovation – Bringing your parish from maintenance to mission has been described as the most effective model of Evangelisation. The members of Pastoral PARISH Council is studying the work of Fr James Mallon in preparation to introduce this model in our Parish. ALL PARISHIONERS are welcome to join us on this journey by reading the book and or watching the videos of Fr James on Youtube.com. Copies of the books by both authors are available for SHORT loan from the Steward of the Gospel.

 

MASS OF THANKSGIVING FOR MARRIAGE AND FAMILY LIFE: Each year Bishop Alan celebrates this Mass particularly for those who are newly married or celebrating special anniversaries. This year the Mass is on Saturday 6th July at 3pm in Brentwood Cathedral, with a reception afterwards. If you would like an invitation please speak to your parish priest. On the same day there is a conference in the Cathedral Hall for all those involved in supporting and promoting the vocation to marriage - see the diocesan website or speak to your parish priest for more information. 

 

MARRIAGE IN CHURCH.  Couples thinking of getting married are reminded to register in good time (minimum of 6 months’ notice). Contact the parish office to make an appointment to see Fr. Kevin and he will help you from there.  Couples planning to marry in another parish or even outside the country should realise that the process properly begins here.

 

PLEASE SUPPORT THE EXCELLENT WORK WHICH The Passage does for homeless people in Central London, by attending The Passage annual Garden Party in the beautiful and historic College Garden, Westminster Abbey on Friday 19 July, from6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. THE GOVERNORS OF ST PATRICK’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL wish to appoint a Fixed Term Midday Assistant and Midday Assistant.  The candidate will be working as part of a team and will report to the Office Manager.  Experience is welcome but not necessary as training will be provided. Start Date: 4th September 2019 End Date: 16th July 2020 Salary: NJC Range 2-3 pro-rata  (£3,549 - £3,613) Monday – Friday, 11.30am – 1.00pm term-time only. UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO MASS? The church offers a service called Mass Link.  At 6pm Sunday Mass, via Skype, we call people who want to listen to the Mass and broadcast the Mass to them over their phones. This service is available for anyone who can't make it to Mass if you are ill or housebound.  If you would like this service, please give your number to the Parish Office and we will ring you every Sunday at 6pm to listen in!

 

PARISH MEMBERSHIP. We are aware that some people have left the parish and while others have joined us.  To those newly arrived we say welcome and wish you a peaceful time here.  We hope and pray that your coming to St. Patricks will satisfy your need to have a meaningful relationship with God and help you to meet new friends. Do introduce yourself to Fr. Kevin and register with the Parish Secretary and make sure you are known in case you plan to have a child receive a sacrament or apply for a place in a Catholic school.

DIVINE MERCY- every Wednesday at 4pm in the Church.

 

LEGION OF MARY meeting is held each Thursday after Mass at 10:15 am.  If anyone is interested in what we do you are very welcome to attend. For more information, come and meet us.

 

EL SHADDAI (CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC GROUP). Rosary prayer, praise and worship, preaching the gospel of the Lord, every Saturday, from 1pm – 4pm. All welcome to join.
