You can help us reach the full amount needed for this crucial programme. We still have some way to go yet! To donate please go to

ANY COUPLES GETTING MARRIED ON 19 MAY?  BBC Radio 5 live in Salford.

“We want to find couples who are getting married on the same day as Prince Harry and Meghan – Sat 19 May – and follow some of them in their preparations. It would involve a reporter meeting them for an hour or so in the run up to their wedding day and really just having a chat about how they’re getting ready for it. It would probably be pre recorded rather than a live interview. But there may also be scope for us to do short, live phone or skype interviews with some of them.”  Anyone interested please contact Mary Huntington, Press and Communications Officer Diocese of Brentwood 01245 227518 / 07974245959 This email address is being protected from spambots. UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO MASS? The church offers a service called Mass Link.  At 6pm Sunday Mass, via Skype, we call people who want to listen to the Mass and broadcast the Mass to them over their phones. This service is available for anyone who can't make it to Mass if you are ill or housebound.  If you would like this service, please give your number to the Parish Office and we will ring you every Sunday at 6pm to listen in!

PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI : PRAYER FOR PEACE   Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy;  O Divine Master, grant that I may seek not so much to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Dear God,
As I stumble through this life, help me to create more laughter than tears, dispense more cheer than gloom, spread more cheer than despair. Never let me become so indifferent, that I will fail to see the wonders in the eyes of a child, or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged. Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people, make them happy, and forget momentarily, all the unpleasantness in their lives. And in my final moment, may I hear You whisper: When you made My people smile, you made Me smile.        Amen
