SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND 12th – 13th MAY. Communication is part of God’s plan for us and an essential way to experience fellowship. Made in the image and likeness of our Creator, we are able to express and share all that is true, good, and beautiful. Donation will go to Bishops Conference of England and Wales.

WE CONGRATULATE THE CHILDREN who made their First Holy Communion this weekend. Please continue to pray for them- they are our future in faith. Please pray also for those who will be making their First Holy Communion next weekend.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BAPTISE YOUR CHILD, please fill up the application form and bring it to the Parish Office. We will be running a pre-baptism meeting soon.  Please note that you need to be registered in this parish.  Please see parish secretaries.

PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI : PRAYER FOR PEACE   Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy;  O Divine Master, grant that I may seek not so much to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

POPE FRANCIS' FIVE FINGER PRAYER

Using the fingers on your hand, start with the thumb and pray these intentions in this order:1.) The thumb is closest finger to you. So start praying for those who are closest to you. They are the persons easiest to remember. To pray for our dear ones is a "Sweet Obligation."2.) The next finger is the index. Pray for those who teach you, instruct you and heal you. They need the support and wisdom to show direction to others. Always keep them in your prayers. 3.) The following finger is the tallest. It reminds us of our leaders, the governors and those who have authority. They need God's guidance. 4.) The fourth finger is the ring finger. Even though it may surprise you, it is our weakest finger. It should remind us to pray for the weakest, the sick or those plagued by problems. They need your prayers. 5.) And finally we have our smallest finger, the smallest of all. Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. When you are done praying for the other four groups, you will be able to see your own needs but in the proper perspective, and also you will be able to pray for your own needs in a better way.
