HOMELESS SUNDAY: NEXT WEEK SUNDAY 13th OCTOBER has been designated national Homelessness Sunday. As we have done in the past Mr Steve Kearns will talk at Masses that weekend to raise (much needed) funds for the Christian Kitchen.


PARISH DEFIBRILATOR FUNDRAISING. To this date, donation amounted to £2,771.09. Thank you all for your generosity. The parish is still accepting donations. If you wish, please collect an envelope in the porch for your donation. 


ENTRY TO CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS.  Fr. Kevin will be offering Certificates of Catholic Practice on Thursday 17th October from 3.30pm-6pm in the Presbytery to parents of children who are presently in Year 6 and want their child in Catholic Secondary school from Sept 2020.  Application forms are available at Saturday evening and Sunday Masses from the Priest and should be returned by Monday 14th October to the Presbytery.PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SIGNING IS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS ONLY AND APPLICATION FORMS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE PARISH OFFICE. 


CONFIRMATION 2019-2020: Application forms are now available in the church porch for enrolment into the Confirmation program 2019-2020. This program is open to youth in Year 10 and above who wish to make their confirmation here in St Patricks. Completed forms must be brought back to the Presbytery no later than Monday 4th November   and will only be accepted with a copy of the candidate’s baptismal certificate attached.


RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Completed forms must be brought back to the Presbytery no later than Monday 4th November.

THANK YOU!  TABLE TOP SALE LAST WEEKEND.  A big thank you to everyone who supported the table top sale last weekend and to the people who donated items, those who gave donations and people that bought goods.  £376 was raised which will be divided between St. Joseph’s Convent Bethlehem and the defibrillator for the church.

THE CANONISATION OF BLESSED (CARDINAL) JOHN HENRY NEWMAN takes place in Rome on Sunday 13 October. To mark this historic occasion Father Stewart Foster (Diocesan Archivist & Historian) will give a lecture entitled ‘St John Henry Newman: His Life and Times’ on Thursday 17 October at 7.30pm in the Conference Centre, Cathedral House, Ingrave Road, Brentwood CM15 8AT. FROM SVP SECRETARIAL RETURN. ANNUAL REPORT 2018 -2019  We carried out 339 visits/telephone calls to Families.  Visited Elderly in their home and Residential care, People in hospital, the homeless/refugee/asylum/migrants status.  This included: gifting money, furniture and food parcels.  Attended funerals and pickup unwanted clothes/furniture/bric-a-brac to take to our charity shop, helped with transport and supported the John Bosco Camp and entertained with Tea on the Lawn after Sunday Mass.  We are here in our Parish to help in any way, so if you would like our help or just want a chat - please contact us


MARRIAGE IN CHURCH.  Couples thinking of getting married are reminded to register in good time (minimum of 6 months’ notice). Contact the parish office to make an appointment to see one of the Priests and he will help you from there.  Couples planning to marry in another parish or even outside the country should realise that the process properly begins here.


BAPTISM. Application forms for infant Baptism are available in the porch.  Please fill in and present to Parish Secretary during office hours and make an appointment to see one of the Priests.  It is unwise to organise a reception until the date of the baptism has been approved. It’s a Diocesan requirement that you are registered in this parish for at least six months and a regular church goer.  Please be aware that baptism will now be on First Saturday of every month at 11:30am.


PARISH MEMBERSHIP. We are aware that some people have left the parish and while others have joined us.  To those newly arrived we say welcome and wish you a peaceful time here.  We hope and pray that your coming to St. Patricks will satisfy your need to have a meaningful relationship with God and help you to meet new friends. Do introduce yourself to Fr. Kevin and Fr. Freddy and register with the Parish Secretary and make sure you are known in case you plan to have a child receive a sacrament or apply for a place in a Catholic school.


IMPORTANT NOTICE. Due to Fire and Safety Regulations, children and persons of limited mobility are NOT permitted in the gallery.  We also ask that when lighting a candle, you first place the candle in one of the cups provided. Please do not walk around with a lighted candle. Please do not let your children play around candles.




ARE YOU AWARE that the Rosary is said each morning in the church at 9.05 am (just before the morning Mass)? All are welcome to participate.


UNABLE TO MAKE IT TO MASS? The church offers a service called Mass Link.  At 6pm Sunday Mass, via Skype. This service is available for anyone who can't make it to Mass if you are ill or housebound.  If you would like this service, please give your number to the Parish Office and we will ring you on Sunday at 6pm to listen in!


LEGION OF MARY meeting is held each Thursday after Mass at 10:15 am.  If anyone is interested in what we do, you are very welcome to attend.




DIVINE MERCY- every Wednesday at 4pm in the Church.

EL SHADDAI (CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC GROUP). Rosary prayer, praise and worship, preaching the gospel of the Lord, every Saturday, from 1pm – 4pm.
