Steward of The Gospel Parish Questionnaire
The deadline for the completion of the Parish Questionnaire has now been postponed to allow parishes which have fallen behind to catch up. The new deadline has been set for Easter 2017. In the new year a short survey will be conducted after all masses for one weekend. Open meetings will be arranged to discuss and complete the full questionnaire. Please continue to prayerfully consider the questions in leaflet handed out in August 2016 and make your views known to your Steward of the Gospel or your Parish Priest. Please also pray for your Steward of the Gospel and the success of the initiative. The Steward of Gospel Prayer can be found at end of your leaflet. All those parishioners who were not in the parish in August can obtain a leaflet from the repository.
The Steward of the Gospel would like to thank all those groups who have so diligently and prayerfully completed their questionnaires. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Further information will be published in the bulletin as it become available. Your Steward of the Gospel – Marcia Bryan

CHRISTMAS GREETINGS
Dear Parishioners, I write to say hello again and to wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas. It is about three months now since I left St Patrick’s yet you are in my thoughts every day. They say you only appreciate something fully when you no longer have it. I always knew that the people of St Patrick’s formed a good parish community; since I left it I have come to realise that it is a great parish and it was my privilege to be with you for so long. While I cannot complain about my present appointment in truth I still very much miss being in Walthamstow. I thank you for all your support and encouragement while I was with you and I especially thank you for all your expressions of love and kindness as I was leaving and for your prayers and good wishes since then. I thank God for the lovely relationships that exist in the parish among all ethnic groups and I hope and pray that they will only grow stronger. For now I wish all of you a very happy Christmas and I pray that the peace that the new born Jesus brought will be in all your lives in the coming weeks. ~
Fr John F Brown SMA
Dear Parishioners, my greetings to you. Thanks for the prayers you always offer for me. Thanks for the love. I always remember you all. I am in fairly good health. Am sure this is due to your prayers. May you be blessed in this Season and the Christmas
Fr. Pontian.
PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI : PRAYER FOR PEACE Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy; O Divine Master, grant that I may seek not so much to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
