PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI : PRAYER FOR PEACE   Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy;  O Divine Master, grant that I may seek not so much to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Dear Parishioners,

I write to express my heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful send-off you gave me last week end. To the parish council who organised it, to all the people who brought food and drink, to those who provided music and entertainment to those who cleared up and indeed to all who came to the Mass or to the hall I thank you most sincerely. Thanks also for the many gifts received. I normally don’t get emotional but I was deeply touched by so many saying thanks and wishing me well for the future. I can only pray that God will continue to bless all of you. It was a joy and a privilege to have been your priest and I ask that you pray for me as I take on a new job here in Dromantine and please do give Frs Gus and Kevin the love and support you gave me.                Fr John
